We have officially inaugurated a brand new 2019 board of the Houston International Jaycees at the 34th Inaugural Gala – Around the World at the Crowne Plaza Houston Galleria on January 26. This is inauguration marks our first year as the Houston International Jaycees! Please welcome our new 2019 Board of Directors!

We also got a rare photo of all the past presidents in attendance during the gala!
For the first time, we had both the United States Pledge of Allegiance and the Texas Pledge Allegiance recited. They were led by Heidi Wong and Ethan Wong.
We also had amazing entertainment this year! Dance of Asian America performers who won Platinum and Overall 1st Awards in numerous National Dance Competitions performed “Dai Beauties” and “Sunblossom”. Jocelyn Chiu, 2019 Celebration of Music Winner, sang “Perfect” by Ed Sheeran and “Soul Sister” by Train.
Because the theme of this year’s gala was Around the World, we held a contest for best dressed in cultural attire. Congratulations to Marylnn Matthews!
